Vasil started playing in his home country of Bulgaria at the age of 9.  He was a junior national champion under the age of 14 (Outdoors-Clay) and at the age of 16 (Indoors-Carpet).  Vasil graduated from the Bulgarian National Sports Academy in Sofia majoring in Physical Education and Tennis Management.  He started teaching tennis at Pleven Country Club in 1999.  Vasil later migrated to the United States to further his tennis coaching career.  He is currently a Tennis Staff Professional at Druid Hills Golf & Country Club where he offers private/group adult and juniors lessons as well as ALTA/USTA tennis clinics. Vasil is USPTA Certified Professional 2, GPTA Member, Etcheberry Strength & Conditioning Certified, and he is also a Professional String Tester for the German Tennis Federation and StringForum.net
